Description

This object, which is precious to me, is a Hohner 80 bass accordion, dating from the 1940s, and which my father had originally received from his accordion teacher. My father passed it on to me when I was still a kid, and I took classes to learn how to play it. It allowed me to play for my friends at the beach and in restaurants. It became a tool that made me actively participate in social events - just for the aspect of fun, not for money. Even today, when I play it casually for friends and family, I recall good memories. When I left my country of origin, I brought it along with me to preserve my connection with the memories of my father.
